San Jose based medical products distributor, Agathos Labs Inc is launching a campaign on stockd®, an e-Commerce marketplace powered by Premier, a leading healthcare improvement company with more than three decades of healthcare purchasing expertise, to donate 5 percent of all sales of select products to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The month-long initiative represents the commitment of both brands to fostering innovations in breast cancer research, treatment, and education.
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in the United States [1]. The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), an organization made up of doctors and disease experts, recommend women with average risk between the ages of 50 to 74 get a mammogram every 24 months [2]. Younger women between the age of 40 to 49 are urged to communicate with their physicians about when to begin and the frequency of mammograms.
